Volunteer with disadvantaged children in Uganda; join other volunteer staffs at the KACOP project and experience this exciting project with the children of Uganda.
With support of volunteers and other development partners; the number of disadvantaged children aged 0-17 years supported has increased to 200 in the past three years only. The extra hands and ideas for the activities geared towards these children are always needed to help maintain order, fun and learn.
we are so greatfull for the work of volunteers, if you are already a volunteer or you volunteered in the past, we thank you so much.
KACOP routinely carries out a needs assessment of children in parts of Wakiso District as our primary target group. Our findings reveal the rampant prevalence of child protection and HIV/AIDS issues. This includes domestic violence as well as child abuse, high dropout of children from school, psycho-social disturbance as a result of the difficult circumstances. Most children lack toys and adequate play facilities.
The challenges of children are therefore daunting and Kalambi has neither the financial nor diverse human resource to address these problems. We are desirous of engaging as many volunteers as will be willing to partner with us.

Volunteers chose from one or more of the following volunteer options below. Most volunteers choose a couple of areas after they have settled in. but if you know in advance it is the best. You can change your volunteer area after reaching the project.
Families and couples are welcome.
